I am Vishal from Jaipur, Rajasthan. I recently took a Solo 2N/3D trip to Udaipur in the last week of July, and the experience blew my mind. Lush green hills, mist-covered lakes, and heavy clouds floating right in front of my eyes—for a moment, I completely forgot I was in Rajasthan. It felt like a hidden paradise straight out of Himachal Pradesh!
Here is how my short solo escape turned into the ultimate monsoon adventure.
1. Trekking into the Clouds at Monsoon Palace
The absolute highlight of my trip was trekking up to the famous Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh). The weather was insanely adventurous—cool mountain breezes, light showers, and a dreamy atmosphere.
Standing at the top, I saw clouds drifting right past me with my naked eyes! Watching the entire city of Udaipur wrapped in a blanket of misty clouds from high above was nothing short of magical.
2. Pure Peace & Lake Views
I went on this solo trip hunting for peace, and Udaipur delivered 100%. Sitting by the lake, watching pigeons fly across the misty waters of Lake Pichola with grand palaces in the backdrop—it was purely therapeutic.
Whether grabbing a hot coffee at a cosy hillside cafe or simply staring at the fog-covered valley, every second felt like a total mental reset.
3. Royal Heritage & Warm Locals
Apart from nature, I explored the historic Sajjan Nivas Gate and took a dive into history at The Vintage and Classic Car Collection.
What made the trip even better was the hospitality. The locals in Udaipur are incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful, making it one of the safest and most enjoyable destinations for solo travellers.

My 2N/3D trip to Udaipur was the perfect mix of adventure, peace, and stunning views. If you haven’t experienced Udaipur in the rains, you are missing out on Rajasthan’s best-kept secret.
