6-8 weeks in advance is ideal for domestic, 2-4 months for international. Use fare alerts and book mid-week for lower rates.
6-8 weeks seems to be the sweet spot for domestic flights. Booking too early or too late often ends up costing more.
Mid-week bookings and fare alerts can really help you catch those sweet price drops!
